¡¡¡¡The Laboratory has been paying much attention to cooperation research with both Chinese and foreign institutes, academic exchanges and talent cultivation and has cooperated with foreign research institutions, universities and companies from the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Britain, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India and other Chinese institutions, universities and companies from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
¡¡¡¡The laboratory is active in hosting large domestic and international academic conferences, inviting famous scholars both at home and abroad to pay a visit and give lectures and for cooperative research and sending young and middle-aged outstanding members to foreign countries for a visit, advanced studies and participating in international academic conferences, to academic exchanges with both home and overseas institutes and give full play of the function of an international exchange base. Meanwhile, the Laboratory has established 14 joint research centers with famous universities and research institutions in Europe and America, which has been awarded as ¡°international joint research centers¡± by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and supported by Innovation and Talent Recruitment Base (111 Plan), turning superficial cooperation into long term cooperation. Committed to ¡°taking a dominant place, learning helpful experience¡±, in addition to inviting famous professors to give lectures, the Laboratory has invited some professor¡¯s teams, young outstanding individuals and doctoral students for long-term cooperative research, deepening and widening the research and raising the international reputation and research level of the Laboratory. In addition, the Laboratory has applied for national, ministerial and provincial research projects by cooperation with both domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutes to deep long-term academic collaborations and exchange and it has made plentiful achievements.
¡¡¡¡The Laboratory has hosted 20 conferences/seminars with more than 3000 participants, including 19 international conferences. These conference/seminars, with large number, high quality and big influence, has attracted organizations and individuals from more than 20 countries, such as America, Britain, French, Japan and South Korea, effectively strengthening academic exchange and cooperation at home and abroad in biomass, hydrogen energy, CO2 control technology, combustion pyrolysis, pollutant control and other fields and providing an effective platform for cooperation and exchange between domestic and overseas scholars and research institutes. Many professors in the Laboratory are associate editors/editorial board members of Applied Energy, Waste and Biomass Valorization. For instance, Professor Cheng Shao¡¯an has shown in the List of Most Cited Global Researchers of Environmental Science and Ecology and the List of Most Cited Chinese Researchers of Environmental Science for 4 years in a row; Professor Wang Shurong has shown in the List of Most Cited Chinese Researchers of Energy Science for 4 years in a row; 9 professors are members or experts in National Science and Technology Major Projects of the 12th Five-Year Plan and National Key Research and Development Program of the 13th Five-Year Plan; several professors are associate editors/editorial board members of some famous international journals.
¡¡¡¡In 2013-2017, academic leaders and middle and young aged academic backbone of the Laboratory delivered 50 invited lectures in different famous academic conferences both at home and abroad, proving that the scientific research findings of fixed researchers of this Laboratory have been recognized by domestic and foreign experts and scholars.
