Notice on Application of 2018 Open Projects of State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization (Zhejiang University)
  
  State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization involves the following disciplines: efficient and clean utilization of fossil fuel, new energy and advanced energy system, efficient and clean utilization of low-grade energy, generation, transfer, measuring and control of pollutants in the process of energy utilization, and theoretical simulation and numerical experiment of multiphase complex reaction system. The main research areas and topics are described as follows:
  1. Efficient and clean utilization of fossil fuel: involving efficient and clean combustion of fossil fuel, comprehensive clean utilization of coal through staged conversion, chemical-looping combustion, dehydration upgrading of lignite, measuring and diagnosis of complex combustion reaction system, etc.;
  2. New energy and advanced energy system: involving multi-energy complementary system, new energy storage technology, preparation of clean fuel through biomass gasification and liquidation, efficient biomass combustion, hydrogen and hydrogen energy production from coal or biomass, comprehensive utilization system of solar energy, gas turbine system, new low-carbon energy technology, etc.;
  3. Efficient and clean utilization of low-grade energy: involving efficient energy utilization of wastes, efficient disposal of low-heat fuels, comprehensive heat recovery, energy conservation of energy power system, etc.;
  4. Generation, transfer, measuring and control of pollutants in the process of energy utilization: involving control of pollutants including NOx, particles and CO2, generation and transfer laws of trace toxic and hazardous substances, simultaneous multi-pollutant removal theory, pollutant measuring technology, haze generation and transfer control, resource utilization of pollutants, etc.;
  5. Theoretical simulation and numerical experiment of multiphase complex reaction system: involving direct numerical simulation and experimental verification of turbulent movement of multiphase complex reaction system, measuring and control of complex combustion reaction system, and simulation and calculation of regional pollution dispersion and propagation mechanisms;
  6. Research on energy and environmental strategies and policies;
  7. Other researches related to energy, power and environment.
  It is appreciated that S&T personnel involved in relevant areas come to the lab as guests or for cooperative researches. In case of any research project in line with the above research areas and topics, a fund application can be made to the lab.

  An application form shall be made in triplicate with sign of the working unit affixed and sent to the lab with an electronic version attached.
